Fast-forward to after college and, through mutual friends, we were introduced. As we both bonded over failed relationships, our friendship quickly evolved into more than that. We started to date in 2005, built a home and moved in together in 2007, were engaged in 2007, married in 2008 and had our first baby, HUT, in 2010. Our baby girl, Ellie, joined the family in early 2013.

I have a colorful resume of various jobs since college, but was, most recently, an event planner for the University that I attended while I attempted my own wedding planning business on the side. It was a great job that didn't pay jack, so becoming a SAHM when HUT was about six months old just naturally fell into place. The U works in the tech industry and has a random schedule, which leaves us much time to hang out as a family during the week.

So here I am, blogging about our life. My attempts at decorating. My trials in the kitchen. My novice designing skills and attempts to design for others. The daily challenges of being not only a mom, but a SAHM.

It's our life and, good/bad/ugly, we wouldn't trade it for the world.
